Update: Yesterday was my last physical therapy session. My therapists (and my vegan diet) helped me recover a lot quicker than anticipated! I’m cleared to gradually begin training my lower body again! I lost a lot of muscle from having to sit around so much, but after a full lower body session this morning, I believe my body will build back up with consistency (and smart training) over the next couple of months. My pain is almost 100% gone! Next time, listen when you’re told that cycling requires a special kind of shoe!
Due to the foot injury and recovery period, I won’t be able to compete with my team this year. I’m determined to bring my best package next year! In the meantime, I have my eye on a competition TBA before the holidays.
